Leonardo - Photo Layer Editor App Reviews

Leonardo is five-star app. I used its predecessor, Photo Wizard, for years. This thing is magnificent. However, since the iOS 10 update, I have lost one of the apps most important features: merge down. Flatten still works, but merge down erases the bottom layer. Please fix this bug, and Ill be glad to bump you back up to five stars.

For the next update can you add more layers, vivid light blend mode, and a new interface? I love this app and cant wait for it to get better

The interface looks clunky and old, but the retouching and filtering tools are first rate. The clone tool is especially useful. Which is not something you can say about many other retouching apps. Well done!

Difficult to figure out how to use but a powerful editing app with photoshop-like layers, masking and blending.

I can do things with this app that I cant do with any other app. It is comprehensive. Closest to photoshop, although the interface is dated/old looking. Love this app! Although Ive been using Enlight more lately...

Im giving a new review since Leonardo is now os10 savvy and I recently got a iPad mini 4. I mention the two items together because the mini 4 has replaced much older iPads I had and it has a far better camera than the older iPads... but though the camera is quite good, its still far from perfect. This is where Leonardo comes in. It is the perfect complimentary app to quickly and drastically improve the iPads photos. It works so perfectly/easily tweaking the iPad images that it could be considered the defacto photo app for this device. The quick results are so impressive that I am getting far better looking images than phones which include superior cameras. If it only had a batch setting, this would be beyond ideal! ------------- Original write up... Near Perfect Image App Though it lacks a few features which I have to revert to another app to utilize, Leonardo has such a huge assortment of professional image editing options, it has become the final defacto app for completing image edits. Puts Adobes iPad arsenal to shame.

If DaVinci were alive today, hed be using Leonardo. Its that good!

Great app, but interface is outdated

This is an outstanding retouching tool that does virtually everything Photoshop does in a far less cumbersome way. Two wishes and one heads up: I wish you could control saturation levels by color in an absolute manner – for example, allowing us to pull back some of the yellows without increasing the blues. Second, there does not appear to be a healing tool. Finally a heads up: go into your settings before you do anything and change your resolution to Very High, or you will do all your work on a picture only to find that it is been saved in a low res. form. Terrific app; highly recommend.

Leonardo is the most powerful photo editor for iPad. The interface is too stylized and you need to get used to it. However, its ability to work with layers and apply effects is unique. Deserves 5 stars hand down!

Id rather spend $5 on a plastic wrapper than buying this $5 crappy rip off app. It messes up the size of every picture and the tools are the most complicated things to work with in the universe.

Im tried a lot of them, and this is crazy powerful. All kinds of color manipulation, effects, and more. Its the closest thing to real desktop Photoshop Ive seen on mobile.

Love using this app but recently it crashed when I made my projects and when I tried to open them it crashed. Ive deleted AND reinstalled the app several times and this keeps occurring please fix this issue!

Hey, I have a iPhone 6 and its up to date, I woke up and tried to make an edit, I finished the edit and tried to export it to my photos, it says "done" but is never saved into my photos, Ive tried everything from restarting my phone to deleting and reinstalling the app, Im getting annoyed and thinking this app is a waste of money and time, if anybody can help me please right back. I used to use this app every day. For the past 6 months or so theres been a bug that deletes layers when you try to merge them. Ive emailed support, and theres been no resolution to this bug. May just be a dead app. Its a shame.

This is a very powerful photo editing app. Its learning curve will be high if youre not used to editing photos. For example, do you know what image layers are/masking options? If so, youll probably hit the ground running. If not, youll have a little more up-to-speed time as you learn photo editing (IMHO). Great app devs :)

Best photo editor app !!!!!

By far the best PhotoShop type app I have used on the iPad/iPhone. Give it a try you will not be disappointed. Update: deleted nearly all the competitors.
